About the 1st 20 MW Solar Power Plant Built in India:
A Dedication to the Nation

PLG Clean Energy Projects developed India’s 1st 20 MW Solar Power Plant with an investment of Rs 340 Crores (USD 65 Million then in 2011) at Village: Dahisar, Tehsil: Santalpur, District: Patan, Gujarat: 385340. "The state of the art & world class 20 MW Solar Power Plant Project of PLGCEP was set up in a Record Turnaround time of 108 days (a case study in the global solar industry- the “Turnaround Time is the Fastest in the World”) from project inception to project commissioning & was built by 450 workers & engineers.

PLGCEP completed this landmark project under Joint Venture (JV) with the Zamil Group, Saudi Arabia (a USD 8 Billion Global Investment Enterprise) which owns 49% of the project. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), Govt. of Gujarat Undertaking for Rs 15 per Unit KwHr (USD 0.25 cents) for the 1st 12 Years & Rs 5 per Unit KwHr (USD 0.083 cents) from the 13th to 25th Year. The 20 MW PLGCEP Solar Power Plant Project is Generating 36 Million Units of Renewable Energy annually for the country, Powering 35,000 households annually in the state of Gujarat & Saving 34,000 Tonnes of Carbon Emissions annually for the world.
